Who can be surrogate mothers?

Surrogate mothers can be close friends, relatives, even the patient’s mom, or they can be strangers. Many surrogate mothers are located through agencies that are independent of clinics. Normally there is a surrogacy fee. Agencies are responsible for the legal aspects while the clinic is expected to perform the Artificial Insemination or IVF procedure. Our clinic reserves the right to refuse treatment if our evaluation shows she is not suited for the procedure. Research shows that although surrogate mothers do get a fee, they enjoy helping people and do not view pregnancy inconvenience.
